ROYALS WIN
Back to winning ways — six unbeaten!
What a performance from the Royals today. A dominant 5–1 victory, built on energy, desire, and quality all over the pitch.
We set the tone early. Just four minutes in, Archie was fouled inside the attacking half. He delivered a perfect free-kick into the corridor of uncertainty, where Joey arrived to calmly side-foot home. 1–0 Royals.
The pressure didn’t stop there. Three minutes later, a sharp counter saw Alex shoved over in the box and win a penalty. He stepped up himself and slotted it away confidently for his first of the game. 2–0.
On 15 minutes, Joey pressed brilliantly to win back possession and whipped in a superb cross. Alex controlled, composed himself, and finished clinically for his second. 3–0 Royals, and fully deserved.
The remainder of the first half became more end-to-end, but our defence stayed strong and organised, dealing with everything thrown at them.
Midway through the second half — the 45-minute mark — Leighton won the ball, played quickly into Joey, and Joey launched an inch-perfect ball over the top. Alex raced through and delicately dinked it over the keeper to complete his hat-trick. His seventh goal in three games. 4–0 Royals.
Our opponents responded well and enjoyed their best spell of the match, but a combination of excellent defending and superb goalkeeping denied them repeatedly.
Then, in the 58th minute, Thomas was brought down just outside the area. He stepped up and smashed the free-kick into the roof of the net, giving himself the perfect birthday goal. 5–0.
With virtually the last attack of the match, Montkon forced a series of corners and eventually bundled one over the line despite our best efforts. 5–1, and that’s how it finished.
A dominant display, full of confidence and hard work. Six unbeaten — let’s keep pushing!
