A very scrappy game in which we just never got going. Despite hitting the post twice and having a very late effort tipped wide, we played below our usual standards. A lack of risk-taking, poor decision-making, and limited communication led to a frustrating performance overall.

That said, there are still a few positives to take away. We’re now unbeaten in three games, and once again, our defensive organisation was excellent throughout.

Archie calmly converted a well-taken penalty in the first half after Ben was bundled over in the box. The opposition responded with a well-worked goal of their own shortly after, levelling the score.

Soon after, both Joey and Ben struck the post within seconds of each other — agonisingly close to restoring our lead. Late on, Preston decided to take a risk, driving forward on one of his trademark box-to-box runs, only to see his left-footed strike tipped wide by the goalkeeper.

Not our best display, but plenty to learn from — and another draw on the board to keep the unbeaten run going.
