It Ends All Square

In a fierce and fiery contest, it finished level at the final whistle.

The Royals came flying out the gates, dominating the opening 20 minutes. But after a few shaky moments, we went into halftime trailing 1–0.

The lads came out for the second half with real urgency — and composure. A goal-bound strike was stopped by a hand in the box, gifting us a lifeline. Archie stepped up and buried the penalty! 1–1!

Moments later, Archie struck again with a looping screamer to put The Royals ahead 2–1!

The hosts hit back quickly to make it 2–2, but that didn’t stop us. Ten minutes from time, Bailey produced a brilliant solo run, shrugging off defenders and firing home to make it 3–2 to The Royals!

But football can be cruel — a late lapse in concentration let them in for an equaliser with virtually the last kick of the game. 3–3 full-time.

A tough draw to take, but plenty of positives to build on
