FULL TIME: Royals 4-2 Deal

A brilliant performance from the boys today sees us back in the win column!

A flying start had Royals 2-0 up inside 15 minutes, with Joey and Ben both finishing coolly after two pinpoint assists from Archie S.

Deal battled their way back into the game and pulled one back following a well-worked move.

Royals thought they had a third when Markuss poked home from close range, but the flag denied him for offside.

Just before the break, the Royals did grab their third. Keegan’s pass found Joey, whose pressure forced an own goal to make it 3-1.

Deal refused to give in and pulled another goal back with another well-worked move.

Late in the second half, Markuss finally got the goal his performance deserved. Racing through on goal, he was brought down in the area and stepped up to smash the penalty into the bottom corner.

Royals nearly added a fifth late on, but Ben’s looping effort from distance drifted just over the bar.

A thoroughly deserved 4-2 victory over a spirited Deal Hoops side.
